ARMSTRONG HA V2 Front Wing

£669.00£849.00

The essence of foiling, with the NEW 480 expanding the range

The ARMSTRONG HA V2 front foil range offers an unprecedented combination of rippability, easy pumping, and endless glide that’s taken the foiling world by storm.

The Armstrong HA (High Aspect) range is the essence of foiling and full of options with seven sizes in the range 480 (new) 580, 680, 780, 880, 980, 1080, 1180.

The Armstrong Front Wing range which offers an unprecedented combination of rippability, easy pumping and endless glide that expands the potential of intermediate to expert surf, downwind and wing foilers.

The HA section shape, outline and profile gives the range a remarkable ‘best of both worlds’ ability, beautiful carving lines and staying high in the pumping power zone for maximum riding potential.

With the foil section adjusted across the wingspan to provide a big boost to gliding efficiency and consistent lift at various bank angles and flight speeds, enabling riders to stay up high in the pumping power zone and experience an amazing carving feel for unlimited wave riding satisfaction.

  • High aspect ratio: from 9.63-9.8 AR across the range sizes
  • Evolution Section Shape: A tweaked section shape across the span for hyper-optimised water flow
  • Flat profile: Providing responsive turning in carves, even at wider wingspans
  • Toray Carbon Fibre: Built from Toray high and intermediate modulus carbon fibre for ultra strong, stiff and light weight
  • Armstrong A+ System: The Armstrong connection system offers industry leading stiffness, durability and modularity

A front wing which turns beautifully with a section which is optimised to stay with the wave, allowing smooth flowing connections between swell lines. Excellent lift means riders can drop down one full size from their previous HA foils for improved carving and speed range while maintaining an easy low end.

Performance Pedigree – Meticulously engineered to push your fun on the water, performing exceptionally under the feet of intermediate to expert riders.

Top-tier Constructions – Built for progression, industry leading manufacturing providing the best in performance and durability

The new HA 480 expands the potential of this foil range even further by increasing top end speed and rippability while maintaining the HA’s characteristic user-friendly bottom end. The 480 caters to powered up winging and tow surf foiling in situations where the rider needs more speed and efficiency to chase down stretched out swell lines. Ultralight rippers with advanced pumping skills may also find the HA480 ideal to extract the most from their prone surf foiling sessions.

Hover Wing Foil Board Size

Below is a rough guide to help determine Hover Wing Foil board size based on rider weight and skill level. A “beginner” rider is considered as someone with no previous board sport experience.

Keep in mind that additional factors, such as wind conditions, foil, and kite wing size will play an important role in the selection of the right board size.

As a rule of thumb, we recommend erring on the side of a more buoyant board with a volume that matches rider weight (for example, an 80kg rider will need at least an 80L board or larger). Riding a “sinker” will work in locations with steady, strong winds, while floatier boards prove to be a safer choice as they allow the rider to get back to shore even if the wind drops under a foilable limit.
