CORE Roamer Wingboard

£1,599.00

Born to fly

The CORE Roamer wingboard line is designed to meet all the challenges of modern wing foiling with its instant forward drive and stable feel. Sporty and responsive, yet also minimizing the early complexities of learning to ride, the carefully tuned shape ensures the easiest handling whatever the weather or water surface.

The CORE Roamer wingboard comes with a 90mm US-Box tracksystem, deckpad, two leash plus and a handle on the bottom. It also comes with stainless steel inserts for two straight positions for your back foot and six offset angled options for your front foot.

NOTE: Foot straps are an optional extra, sold as set of 3.

Features

GET UP FASTER Even the smallest 55L Roamer provides a real sense of stability at slow speed, meaning that water launches have never been easier. Length and width are perfectly balanced to ensure each Roamer quickly picks up speed while always providing excellent stability.

ERASE YOUR MISTAKES
Volume distribution within the board is carefully designed to ensure your riding balance is the main focus of performance. The slight rockerline in the deck, in combination with the high-volume concave rails, distribute water away from the center of the board for a greater sense of control to quickly inspire higher levels of confidence.

STAY ONBOARD
The double concave bottom shape ensures quick take-offs and is also forgiving on touchdowns. The rails are sharply designed for easy release to help in critical situations; for smoother boardstarts, when the board catches a steep piece of chop while you’re riding, or when leaning hard over during more aggressive turns.

ACCESS MORE FOOT POWER
The slightly angled deck and higher front foot position further optimizes the influence you have with your foot pressures to help you plane faster. The tail kick’s increased angle-of-attack allows for more efficient pumping just before you take flight.

LONG-LASTING PERFORMANCE
The stiff carbon sandwich construction provides a direct feel and long-lasting fun even for the most ambitious riders. The EPS core is extremely lightweight and covered with a robust carbon PVC shell, protecting against pressure points and preventing water ingress.

RELIABLE CONNECTIONS
An extra grippy pad maximizes the power of your stance. To leverage extra power in footstraps there are inserts in the deck allowing you to choose between two straight positions for your back foot and six offset angled options for your front foot. To prevent the board bouncing back towards the rider after a fall the twin leash plugs have been positioned to the side of the board.

Hover Wing Foil Board Size

Below is a rough guide to help determine Hover Wing Foil board size based on rider weight and skill level. A “beginner” rider is considered as someone with no previous board sport experience.

Keep in mind that additional factors, such as wind conditions, foil, and kite wing size will play an important role in the selection of the right board size.

As a rule of thumb, we recommend erring on the side of a more buoyant board with a volume that matches rider weight (for example, an 80kg rider will need at least an 80L board or larger). Riding a “sinker” will work in locations with steady, strong winds, while floatier boards prove to be a safer choice as they allow the rider to get back to shore even if the wind drops under a foilable limit.
