Seeking that extra bit of torque to enhance your water take-off experience? Look no further than the FOIL DRIVE Three Blade Propeller Hub, designed to elevate low-end thrust and revolutionize your ride with the Foil Drive Assist PLUS, SLIM and MAX models.
This optional upgrade is a game-changer for riders pushing the boundaries of rider weight, board size, and foil size. Compared to the standard Two Blade Propeller system, the Three Blade Propeller system offers several performance enhancements:
- Increased low-end thrust
- Enhanced torque at lower RPM, preventing propeller cavitation under high load
- Improved surface driving efficiency when the props breach the surface
- A smoother, quieter ride
Specifically engineered for riders requiring additional low-end torque, whether due to using a low-volume board, a smaller or higher aspect foil, or being a heavier rider. However, we advise against prolonged e-foiling at full throttle, as this may significantly drain your battery and risk overheating the electronics, triggering thermal protection mode.
Each Three Blade Propeller Hub comes with a range of hardware, offering two options of bolts:
- Standard Propeller Bolts (3x M3 30mm 2.5mm) – These bolts are identical to those used on the 2-blade hub.
- Button Top Propeller Bolts (3x M3 30mm 2mm) – These bolts, while requiring a secondary tool, improve hydrodynamics by reducing the formation of small bubbles that enter the prop.
Please note the Three Blade Propeller Hub is not compatible with Foil Drive Assist V1 models. This hub requires the use of three propellers for optimal performance. For existing propellers, it’s advisable to consider replacing them with a full set of three fresh, balanced propellers to avoid vibration and potential damage to your system.
