The MANERA MAGMA Hood features a double flap: One stays outside the wetsuit collar while the other one comes inside. It creates a double barrier against water flushing and it makes sure the hood stays in place.
MANERA have used their Reflex-skin jersey to line the areas where we need mobility: Neck, face, chin. Head and ears are built in Glide-skin neoprene which is waterproof & windproof to fight the wind-chill effect. The inside is lined with our MAGMA PLUS for an unbeatable warmth and fast-drying.
It’s the weapon of choice if you want to spend the winter without brain-freeze while still having a good mobility.
Update: From the FW24 collection onward, all MANERA hoods have been updated to have a bigger face opening. It provides more comfort and makes sure you can wear the hood under the chin without being too squeezed.
Technologies
Magma Plus – MANERA MAGMA material is one of the warmest on the market. Besides, it is highly stretchable, which brings an unmatched freedom of movement to the suits.
Its plush loops work as effective insulators and heat generators while providing a smooth and soft feeling that makes the suit incredibly comfortable. It also dries extremely fast.
Designed in 3D – When the industry standard is to develop 2D patterns and try to fit it on a 3D body, we decided to break new ground and take the opposite direction. We use computer design to model good-fitted hood in 3D, then we employ an innovative software that converts it into a precise 2D pattern for the factory.
It creates a natural, second-skin fit that makes the MANERA hood stand out.
